Montina Basumatary

Montina Basumatary has a diverse work experience in the banking industry. Montina started their career at Bank of India in 2011 as a Finance Executive in Commercial Banking, where they worked until 2013. Montina then joined ICICI BANK CANADA as a Customer Service Representative for a year. In 2014, Montina joined RBC as a Portfolio Manager, a role they held until December 2022. Currently, they are working at Sandy Spring Bank as a Vice President and Commercial Portfolio Manager starting in January 2023.

Montina Basumatary completed their Bachelor's degree in Economics Honors from St. Stephen's College, Delhi, from 2006 to 2009. Montina then pursued a Master of Business Economics (MBE) degree in Finance and Financial Management Services from Delhi University, from 2009 to 2011. In terms of additional certifications, in 2012, they obtained the Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB) from the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance. In 2015, they received the Canadian Securities Course certification from the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI). Montina further enhanced their skills by obtaining a Certificate in Financial Services Advice from the Canadian Securities Institute in 2019. More recently, in 2022, they completed various certifications including "Excel Skills for Business: Essentials" from Coursera, "SQL for Data Science" from Coursera, "Introduction to SQL" from DataCamp, and "Verified International Academic Qualifications" from World Education Services.
