Clinton Werner is an experienced professional with a diverse background in law enforcement and operations management. Currently serving as a Crime Scene Investigator and Police Officer at Sandy Springs Police since April 2017, Clinton has previously held multiple roles in operations supervision at Hines and North American Properties Atlantic Station. Clinton's law enforcement experience also includes a position as a Police Officer with Gwinnett County. Earlier career roles encompassed safety and public safety responsibilities at ERMC and Walden Security, respectively. Clinton's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Georgia State University, complemented by high school education at Heritage High School.
Sandy Springs Police
The Sandy Springs Police Department (SSPD) was created in 2006 and serves the community with 148 sworn officers. Sandy Springs Police Department Operations are coordinated by two districts: North and South. The districts are commanded by the patrol Captain who is supported by Lieutenants. The patrol division is complemented by specialty units including Street Crimes Unit (SCU), Traffic Unit, Special Investigations Unit (SIU), and the Criminal Investigations Division (CID). The SSPD has several specialty vehicles and equipment including the river response boat, Rhino ATV units, river kayaks, and an armored vehicle for tactical response.
