Asuka Alvarado

Asuka Alvarado is currently a Laboratory Coordinator and previously held the position of Laboratory Assistant at Sanford Burnham Prebys since September 2021. Prior experience includes serving as a CIRM Intern at Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute from August 2020 to July 2021, a STEM Tutor at California State University San Marcos from August 2019 to May 2020, and an Academic Leader with Palomar College GEAR UP from August 2016 to February 2017. Early work experience includes a role as a waitress, having risen from dishwasher to waitress at Smokey's Lake Wohlford Cafe from August 2012 to November 2014. Asuka holds a Bachelor’s degree from California State University San Marcos (2018-2021) and two Associate of Science degrees in General Studies Math and Science and University Studies Math and Science from Palomar College.
