Luke Dumas

Luke Dumas is an accomplished development professional with extensive experience in corporate and foundation relations. Currently serving as the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at Sanford Burnham Prebys since January 2025, Luke oversees a comprehensive program to enhance philanthropic support through collaboration with faculty and philanthropy colleagues. Prior roles include Director of Grants and Annual Giving at Brevard Zoo, where Luke led efforts to raise $4 million annually, and Corporate & Foundation Relations Manager at San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, where strategic grant solicitation was a key focus. Additional experience includes significant positions in institutional giving and grant writing across various organizations, contributing to a proven track record in fundraising and donor relations. Luke holds a Master of Science in Creative Writing from The University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Chicago.
