Corey Backer

Corey Backer, CPA, has extensive experience in finance and accounting, currently serving as Vice President of Finance at Sanford Health since July 2020, after previously holding the position of Senior Director in Corporate Finance & Accounting at the same organization. Prior experience includes serving as Accounting Manager at Great Western Bank from June 2018 to July 2020 and as Audit Manager at KPMG between October 2012 and June 2018. Corey's career began as an Accounting/Finance Intern with the City of Sioux Falls in 2009. Corey holds a Joint Bachelor of Business Administration/Master's degree in Professional Accountancy from the University of South Dakota, completed in 2012.
