Janna VanderBand is an experienced art therapist currently employed at Sanford House Addiction Treatment Centers since March 2020. VanderBand has held various roles in the field, including positions at the Counseling Center of West Michigan and The Nested Art Therapy Studio as an art therapist, and previously served as an art instructor at the Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Community Center. VanderBand's experience also includes work as a family therapist, assessment specialist, and art therapist at Eagle Village, Inc. Additionally, several internships in art therapy were completed at Arts @ Large, Lad Lake, Hope Haven, and Express Yourself Milwaukee. Janna VanderBand holds a Master of Science in Art Therapy from Mount Mary University and a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Fine/Studio Arts from Central Michigan University.

Formerly Sanford Addiction Treatment Centers, Sanford Behavioral Health is a residential and outpatient addiction, mental health and eating disorder treatment center located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Our newest facility, Sanford West Behavioral Health Campus, is located in Marne, Michigan. We offer excellence in evidence-based practice models in a home-like, restorative setting. All our programs are backed by a multi-disciplinary medical and clinical team and most of our programs are available in-person or via telehealth. Our continuum of care includes: Sub-Acute Detox (coming 11/15/21); Residential Treatment, Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP); Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and Medical Management; Outpatient Programs; and one-on-one and family counseling.
