Sanford Police Department

Sanford Police Department is a multi-faceted law enforcement team providing comprehensive services to the City of Sanford through the Primary Operations and Support Services Divisions. Traffic, K-9, Investigations, D.A.R.E., School Resource Officers, Tactical and Drug Interdiction Officers work with our Patrol Officers to practice Community Oriented Policing. By becoming partners with the community, we can address crime issues, solve problems in city neighborhoods and enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Sanford and its visitors. Some examples of this team approach are our Volunteer Citizens on Patrol (COP), and Bike Patrol programs.
