Sanford Police Department
Stacie McCoy is a seasoned law enforcement professional with extensive experience at the Sanford Police Department, where Stacie has served as a Lieutenant in the Strategic Services Section since May 2012. Previous roles at the department include Sergeant in the Major Crimes Division and Investigator, as well as Patrol Officer. Stacie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice Administration from Columbia College and an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice/Police Science from Seminole State College of Florida. Additionally, Stacie completed the Florida Leadership Academy Class #37 in 2016, enhancing leadership skills in law enforcement.

Sanford Police Department is a multi-faceted law enforcement team providing comprehensive services to the City of Sanford through the Primary Operations and Support Services Divisions. Traffic, K-9, Investigations, D.A.R.E., School Resource Officers, Tactical and Drug Interdiction Officers work with our Patrol Officers to practice Community Oriented Policing. By becoming partners with the community, we can address crime issues, solve problems in city neighborhoods and enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Sanford and its visitors. Some examples of this team approach are our Volunteer Citizens on Patrol (COP), and Bike Patrol programs.
