Emily Amendum

Emily Amendum currently serves as the Head of Middle School and Director of Studies at Sanford School since August 2015, after holding roles that included Middle School Director of Studies. Previously, Emily worked as the Associate Director at the University of Delaware from August 2013 to August 2015, focusing on university-school partnerships and literacy instruction. Prior experience includes teaching at North Carolina State University, serving as an Instructor, and holding various teaching and coaching positions in Wake County Public Schools and Durham Public Schools. Emily holds a Master of Education in Reading, Language, and Literacy from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
