Sankofa Counseling is a culturally specific counseling clinic committed to decreasing mental health disparities within Black, brown, trans/nonbinary & LGBQAI communities through increasing access to highly skilled, antiracist, and trauma informed therapists.

* The Sankofa bird belongs to the people of Ghana, West Africa. It represents the awareness that our personal histories include both good and painful experiences, yet all are integral in forming who we are today. Sankofa translates to "Go back, seek and retrieve it". It is understood that in order to move forward in life, the knowledge and lessons of the past must be held closely and intentionally incorporated into who we are today.
