Fatima Essa

Fatima Essa is an accomplished finance executive with extensive experience in financial management, vendor management, and strategic planning across various sectors. Currently serving as the Executive: Head of Finance and Vendor Management at Sanlam since May 2021, Fatima has held key finance roles at Dimension Data, Internet Solutions, and MWEB, managing complex budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes while ensuring compliance with IFRS and tax regulations. Fatima's career began as a Molecular Genetic Researcher at the Department of Agriculture in the Western Cape, followed by a role as a Chartered Accountant at PriceWaterhouse Coopers, focusing on audits in technology, publishing, hospitality, and retail. Fatima holds a PGDA in Accounting from the University of Cape Town and an MSc in Genetics from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
