Dr Motsepe has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2004. He is a non-executive director, Deputy Chair of Sanlam, and a member of the Nominations and Human Resources Committees.

Dr Motsepe is the founder and Executive Chair of African Rainbow Minerals (ARM). He is also the founder and Chair of Ubuntu-Botho Investments, African Rainbow Capital, African Rainbow Energy and Power, and UBI General Partner.
