Stephen Kimati, CFE, CRMP, CCP, is a seasoned professional in risk and compliance, currently serving as the Head of Risk and Compliance at Sanlam since September 2023, after previously holding the role of Risk and Compliance Manager. Prior to joining Sanlam, Stephen worked at EY as a Senior Consultant in Risk Advisory Services from September 2014 to July 2019, gaining expertise in risk advisory, external and internal audit, actuarial services, and compliance. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Sciences with First Class Honors from the University of Dar es Salaam (2011-2014) and has furthered education with certifications including Certified Risk Management Professional from the Institute of Risk Management Tanzania and various credentials from the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK, alongside a Senior Leadership Development Programme at Stellenbosch Business School.
