Stan Simms

Stan Simms has over 20 years of experience in risk management and compliance. Stan'smost recent role was as the Head of Risk at Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water, where they have been since 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Risk & Assurance at Bristol Airport from 2019 to 2021. From 2016 to 2019, they worked at Rooftop Housing Group, first as the Head of Risk and Compliance and then as the Risk Manager. Before that, they held various positions at RWE npower, including Head of Enterprise Risk and Head of Operational Risk and Business Continuity Management. Stan started their career at Innogy as a Systems Accountant and later became a Senior Internal Auditor.

Stan Simms obtained a Certificate in Management from the University of Hull in 1999-2000. Stan pursued a field of study in Accounting at the Association of Accounting Technicians. Additionally, they achieved a Part Qualified status in Management Accountancy at the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). Furthermore, they studied Economics at Manchester High in Jamaica. Stan also earned another Certificate in Management from the University of Hull, although the exact dates are not provided.
