Dr. Johannes Bayer

Dr. Johannes Bayer is an accomplished finance executive currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer and Director at SanlamAllianz since September 2023. Prior to this role, Dr. Bayer held various positions at Allianz, including Regional Chief Financial Officer and Board Member from April 2021 to August 2023, and Regional & LoB Assistance Finance Director at Allianz Partners from April 2013 to March 2021, where responsibilities spanned Western Europe, Latin America, MENA, and Asia Pacific. With a background as a Senior Project Manager in Allianz's Group Project Office and extensive experience in consulting at Bain & Company, Dr. Bayer has developed expertise in strategy execution, project portfolio management, and financial oversight. Dr. Bayer holds a PhD in Physics from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and has also completed a Master of Arts in Physics from The University of Texas at Austin.
