William Liu

William Liu has over 15 years of experience in the technology industry. William began their career in 2006 as a Software Engineer for Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, where they led a team of 4 server engineers and developed services and server features for multiple game studios. In 2009, they joined Electronic Arts (EA) as Director of Engineering for EA Mobile, where they led distributed teams of 15+ engineers and managed 2 engineering managers and 5 engineers. William also led long-term planning of the technology roadmap for the game studio. In 2015, they co-founded Woofspot, a mobile hyperlocal social network that brings dog owners and their dogs together. In 2016, they joined Earnest Inc. as Engineering Manager for Client Experience, where they led multiple engineering teams in the development and launch of the digital private education in-school loan business. William also led process improvements and coordinated the adoption of scaled agile best practices to successfully deliver on multiple projects. In 2019, they joined Branch International as Senior Engineering Manager for Platform and Core Banking, where they led the Platform and Core Banking teams responsible for infrastructure, data engineering, customer identity and internal admin functions of the core microlending product. In 2020, they co-founded Sanlo, where they serve as Co-founder and CTO.

William Liu attended The University of Huddersfield from 2001 to 2006 where they obtained a Master of Engineering degree in Computer Software Engineering.
