Somya Satsangi

Somya Satsangi brings 28 years of rich experience in human capital, technology, and business consulting global corporations across Europe, India and the US in various senior management roles encompassing Business Development, Strategy and Operations. She is presently an Independent Director on the Board of Dr Lal Path Labs. She also advises start-ups and mentors founders on human resource scaling strategies and recruiting for next-generation business models including the Gig economy. She has placed dozens of professionals at high growth private equity funded companies including those funded by SoftBank while advising them through human resource strategies during the most volatile business conditions in their history.

She was most recently a Senior Partner at Amrop India where she established the Digital & Technology practice globally and also covered Private Equity, Professional Services, and Education clients for over 3 years in India. She served as an independent director on the Board of Steria India Limited. Sopaxa Steria is a Euro 3.8bn corporation with primary businesses including consulting services, systems integration and solutions, integration of ERP solutions, and implementation of application solutions.

Previously, she was VP of Corporate Development and Strategy with CA Technologies, the New York-based fourth largest software company in the world, managing their key investments and global strategic partnerships. She held key business-building roles in Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), UK, for 7 years which included setting up a successful Government business footprint for TCS in the UK, establishing a solid beachhead with bringing onboard the National Health Service (NHS) and working with multiple clinical database vendors, primary and secondary Healthcare levels. She also held key business-building roles in UK Telecom, Media and Entertainment practice.

Prior to this, Somya spent 12 years with Arthur Andersen in Europe and India, where she worked in a range of industries including manufacturing and financial markets with projects in areas of business strategies, financial valuations, and forensic accounting. Somya holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry (Honors) from the University of Delhi. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. She has also completed courses in Corporate Finance (Mergers and Acquisitions) at IIM, Ahmedabad and Change Management Strategy at London Business School.
