Julie Clarke has a wealth of experience in the medical and research fields, beginning with a Trainee Medical Laboratory Scientific Officer role at Antrim Hospital in 1996. Julie then moved to Queen's University Belfast in 2001 as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Surgery. In 2004, they began working for Almac Group in two roles: Project Manager: Design & Implementation and Production Project Team Manager. In 2013, they took on the role of Regulatory Affairs Officer at Norbrook Laboratories Ltd. In 2020, they began working at ARC Regulatory Ltd. as a Senior Clinical Project Manager, and in 2022, they joined Sano Genetics as a Senior Project Manager (Precision Medicine Research).

Julie Clarke obtained a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from Queen's University Belfast. Julie then went on to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the same university. Afterwards, they completed an MMedSc Laboratory Science from Queen's University Belfast. In May 2020, they obtained a Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Certification from The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA).
