Roberto Araujo

Roberto Araujo has extensive experience in the medical and genetic research fields, primarily with Sanofi since August 2014, where key roles include North America Senior Medical Director for Pompe and MPS I, Head of Global Evidence Generation Strategy for Rare Diseases, and Global Medical Director focusing on Neurology and Rare Diseases. Araujo also held positions as Medical Manager at Sanofi Genzyme, Laboratory Director at Reprogenetics, and Clinical Research Director in R&D, emphasizing contributions to genetic diagnostics and cancer treatment development. Additionally, Araujo has an academic background, serving as a professor in Clinical Research at ICTQ and Lusófona, and conducting independent research at Columbia University. Araujo earned a PhD/MD in Molecular Biology & Neuroscience and a BSc with Honors in Genetics from the University of Aberdeen.
