Florine van Milligen

Head Grant Office Sanquin/ Staff Officer Research Management & Policy at Sanquin

Florine van Milligen has a diverse work experience. Florine started their career as a PhD student at the CLB Laboratory for experimental and Clinical Immunology at the University of Amsterdam in 1988. Florine then worked at the DLO-Institute for Animal Science and Health in Lelystad as the Head of the Laboratory for Parasite Immunology from 1992 to 1999. In 2002, they joined ALK-Abelló in Copenhagen as a Project Manager. From 2003 to 2007, they worked as the Head of the Laboratory for Stem Cell Therapy at the VU University Medical Center in Amsterdam. Since 2009, they have been working at Sanquin as the Head of the Grant office and a Staff Officer for Research Management & Policy.

Florine van Milligen earned a Master of Science (M.Sci.) degree in Medical Biology from the University of Amsterdam, between 1983 and 1988. Prior to this, they attended Willem de Zwijger College in Bussum from 1977 to 1983.
