Michael (Scott) Jecko has held a variety of positions in the public sector since 2004. In 2004, they began working as a Systems Project Consultant for the Florida Department of Health. In 2008, they moved to the Agency for Enterprise Information Technology as an IT Business Consultant. In 2009, they became a Senior Management Analyst Supervisor for the Florida Department of Financial Services. In 2012, they took on two roles, Systems Programming Administrator for the Florida Department of Education and Data Processing Manager for the Florida Department of Children and Families. In 2013, they became a Software Services Manager for the Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. In 2014, they held two roles at the Florida Agency for State Technology, Enterprise Architect and Strategic Planning Coordinator. In 2015, they became an Adjunct Professor at Southern New Hampshire University. In 2018, they joined ISF, Inc. as a Management Consultant and Project Manager. Finally, in 2021, they began working as a Technical Project Manager for the Florida Department of Education, Division of Blind Services.

Michael (Scott) Jecko has a broad educational background. Michael (Scott) obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Systems Management (Software Engineering Track) from the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2008. Michael (Scott) also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics from the University of Maryland and an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) in Computer Programming, Specific Applications from Montgomery College. In addition, Michael has obtained several certifications, including a Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute in 2021, a Certified SOA Professional from Arcitura Education Inc. in 2020, a Certified Cloud Professional from Arcitura Education Inc. in 2018, an ITIL Service Transition (ITIL-ST) from EXIN in 2010, and an ITIL Foundation Level from EXIN in 2008.
