Deborah Wolen is a seasoned professional with diverse experience in forensic technology and architecture. Currently serving as a Forensic Specialist I at the Santa Ana Police Department since January 2020, Deborah brings valuable expertise from the architectural field as the owner of Newman & Wolen Design, LLC, where skills as a registered architect and LEED AP are applied since June 2003. Prior experience includes project management at Kenneth Park Architects from October 2001 to June 2003 and serving as a system administrator at Gap Inc. from 1996 to 1999. Deborah holds an Associate of Science in Forensic Technology from Grossmont College (2014-2016) and a Master of Architecture from Tulane University (1986-1992).

Santa Ana Police Department

The Santa Ana Police Department is a full service police department with a full operational jail staffed by civilian Correction Officers. Santa Ana Police Department is comprised of more than 300 officers and over 200 civilian employees. The department currently has 50 fully funded sworn officer vacancies and numerous civilian vacancies. The opportunity to join a police department where you will rapidly gain seniority has never been greater. We anticipate hiring at least 125 sworn officers over the next 3 years to fill current vacancies and anticipated retirements. The Santa Ana Police Department handles approximately 11,000 calls for service each month and provides full service operations in various divisions such as: Patrol, Traffic, General Investigations, Special Investigations, Training and others.
