Stacie R. Furia, Ph.D., serves as the Senior Director of Evaluation and Learning at the Santa Barbara Foundation, having previously held roles ranging from Director to Learning and Evaluation Manager within the organization. Prior experience includes positions as a Senior Research Analyst at the University of California Education Abroad Program, Principal and Consultant at NERDi Consulting, and Senior Director of Evaluation at BUILD. Stacie has taught sociology at various institutions, including UC Santa Barbara and Northland College, focusing on research methods and social justice topics. As a researcher, notable work includes policy evaluations and operational support projects in Afghanistan while serving as a Lead Social Science Researcher for the US Army.
