Ariel Bailey

Ariel Bailey has extensive experience in animal care and management, currently serving as an Animal Care staff member at Santa Barbara Zoo since March 2019, where the primary responsibilities include caring for a breeding herd of Masai giraffe, Western Lowland Gorillas, and slender-tailed meerkats, along with cross-training on various mammals. Previously, Bailey worked as an Ungulate Keeper at Wildlife Safari, managing exotic hoofstock, and held internships at Wilco and Oregon Zoo, focusing on animal care and enrichment for various species. Additionally, Bailey has experience in customer service and management from previous roles in the retail and hospitality sectors. Education includes an Associate of Science in Biology and Management of Zoo Animals from Portland Community College and a Bachelor's degree in General Studies from Black Hills State University.
