Shannon Silk

Shannon Silk is an experienced development professional with a diverse background in fundraising, marketing, and nonprofit management. Currently serving as the Annual Giving Officer at Santa Barbara Zoo since October 2021, Shannon previously held positions at Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, where roles included Development Manager and Development Associate, as well as Development Coordinator at Ohio Valley Voices, managing major fundraising events and grant proposals. Prior experiences include working at Cleveland Foodbank as a Harvest for Hunger Campaign Aide, a Legal Assistant at Obral, Silk & Associates, and various marketing roles in nonprofit organizations and educational settings. Shannon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications/Public Relations from the University of Dayton.
