Dr Dawn River

Dr. Dawn River serves as the Assistant Director of Continuous Improvement & Accountability at the Santa Clara County Office of Education since June 2017, where responsibilities include supervising staff, leading major educational initiatives, and providing training and technical assistance on various federal and state programs. Prior roles encompass collaboration with the San Mateo-Foster City School District and Fremont Unified School District, focusing on federal program management and educational support for English learners. Dr. River's educational background includes a Doctorate in Educational Leadership for Social Justice from California State University - East Bay, alongside a Master's and Bachelor's in Educational Leadership and English/Education from California State University, Northridge, as well as an associate degree in Fashion Merchandising from Bauder College. Active in professional organizations, Dr. River is a board member of CAASFEP and ACSA.
