Colin Smith

Colin Smith has a diverse work experience in the field of civil engineering. Colin is currently employed at Valley Water as an Associate Civil Engineer starting from February 2021. Prior to this, they worked at the City of Santa Cruz for seven years, from 2014 to 2021, where they held the position of Water Treatment Operator 4 for the majority of their tenure. Before that, they were a Water Treatment Operator 3 from 2014 to 2017. Colin also has experience at Scotts Valley Water District, where they worked for ten years from 2004 to 2013. During their time there, they served as an Associate Engineer and was responsible for designing improvements to various water facilities and overseeing construction projects. Colin also held the role of Assistant Engineer at Scotts Valley Water District from 2004 to 2007, where they assisted with drafting plans and collecting data for water resource planning and system operation. Colin's work experience also includes a position at Bowman and Williams Civil Engineering as an Assistant Engineer from 2001 to 2003. In this role, they primarily focused on designing grading and drainage plans for construction projects.
