Sepideh Bahrami

Sepideh Bahrami, Ph.D. has a diverse range of work experience in the fields of civil engineering, water resources, data analysis, and academia. Sepideh currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at San Jose State University. Previously, they worked as a Lead Technical Specialist at Valley Water, where they performed various civil engineering duties and oversaw the water reuse program. Prior to that, they were a Water Resources Engineer at Atkins, where they conducted hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and reviewed flood insurance revisions.

Dr. Bahrami also gained experience as a Data Analyst at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where they worked on image processing and data analysis tasks. Sepideh served as a Teaching Assistant and Environmental Scientist at the University of Nevada Reno, where they focused on topics such as missing data recovery, machine learning for hydrologic analysis, flood modeling, and dam breach analysis.

Sepideh Bahrami, Ph.D. received their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Civil Engineering from Shahid Beheshti University, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. Sepideh then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering at K. N. Toosi University of Technology from 2011 to 2012.

In 2014, Bahrami enrolled in the University of Nevada, Reno, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Hydrology and Water Resources Science.
