Tim Wong, EIT, has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Starting in 2014, Tim worked as a Student Engineering Summer Intern at San Mateo Public Works. In 2015, they became a Student Assistant at San Jose State University's Registrar Office. Tim then joined the City of San José as a Student Engineering Intern in 2016, where they maintained databases and analyzed trends in sanitary sewer systems. In 2017, they worked as a Transportation Engineering Aide at the City of Menlo Park, assisting with transportation plan checks and grant applications. In 2018, Tim became an Engineering Technician at the City of San José, where they managed traffic calming projects and assessed infrastructure conditions. In 2019, they served as an Administrative Intern at the City of Anaheim, drafting project plans and creating work orders. Tim continued to expand their experience in 2020 as a Junior Engineer at LEE Incorporated, coordinating with subcontractors and providing CAD drafting support. Currently, Tim holds the position of Assistant Engineer II at the City of Santa Cruz.
Tim Wong, EIT, holds a Master of Science degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering from UC Irvine, which they completed from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from San Jose State University, where they studied from 2012 to 2017. In addition to their formal education, Tim has also acquired additional certifications. In September 2020, they completed the Technical Support Fundamentals course from Coursera, and in May 2019, they obtained their Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification from NCEES.
