Anna Hamilton

Anna Hamilton serves as the Santa Fe County Commissioner for District 4 since January 2017 and has also worked as a Senior Scientist/Project Manager at Tetra Tech, Inc., Center for Ecological Sciences since August 2006. Hamilton specializes in aquatic research and environmental assessment, focusing on climate change, wetlands studies, and restoration planning. This role includes managing multidisciplinary projects across various water body types including streams, rivers, coastal and riparian wetlands, as well as estuaries and coral reefs throughout multiple regions in the United States. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Ecology from The University of New Mexico, a Master's degree in Aquatic Biology/Limnology from Towson University, and a Bachelor's degree in General Biology from The Johns Hopkins University.
