Megan Bowers-Avina is an experienced art teacher currently working at Santa Fe Public Schools as a Maker Space STEAM art teacher since August 2019, emphasizing student autonomy. With a background in photography spanning over two decades, Megan has served as a freelance photojournalist, chief photographer for The Taos News, and held roles with the Associated Press and Sotheby's. Additionally, Megan has directed arts curriculum at the Taos Integrated School of Art and operated a wedding photography business, Megan Blinked, from 2003 to March 2022. Megan holds a BFA from Parsons School of Design and a Master of Education in Art from The University of New Mexico.
