Rachel Ryer is an experienced educator with a diverse background in teaching and facilitation. Currently a Middle School Teacher at Santa Fe Public Schools since August 2019, Rachel has previously served as a facilitator at Tushita Retreat Center, where responsibilities included leading meditations and lectures for an international audience. Rachel also contributed to Kretschmann Organic Farm in various roles, including farm hand and social media specialist. Prior teaching experience includes a tenure at Portland Public Schools, focusing on self-contained sixth-grade classes and Language Arts and Social Studies for grades six and seven. Additionally, Rachel worked as a Special Education Teacher at Taos Public Schools, coordinating an entrepreneurship program. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Portland State University, a Master's in Buddhist Studies from Maitripa Institute, and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Religion from Amherst College.
