Ed Gomez, PE, is a seasoned Project Engineer at Santa Margarita Water District since June 2023, previously serving as a Civil Engineer at Michael Baker International from April 2016 to June 2023, where responsibilities included managing complex, time-sensitive projects and direct client interactions. Ed's academic background includes a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from UC Irvine, complemented by an Associate's degree from Saddleback College. Ed's research experience includes biofiltration engineering design in Australia and significant contributions to projects focusing on water efficiency and desalination technologies. Additionally, Ed has held roles as a Graduate Researcher, Teaching Assistant, and Engineering Intern, showcasing a strong commitment to enhancing water resource management and infrastructure.
