Erik Thompson

Erik Thompson is an accomplished education professional with extensive experience in various roles within the education sector. Currently serving as an Education Specialist at Santa Maria Bonita School District since July 2021, Erik has previously held the position of Assistant Director for Student Intervention and Support Services at Ann Arbor Public Schools from November 2018 to June 2021. Earlier experiences include serving as Supervisor of Young Adult Programs at Washtenaw Intermediate School District and a second tenure as Assistant Director for Student Intervention and Support Services at Ann Arbor Public Schools. Erik's career began in leadership roles including Assistant Principal at Scott Lake Elementary and Exceptional Student Education Senior Manager at Polk County School Board. Educational qualifications include an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Florida, as well as multiple master's degrees from Florida State University and the University of South Florida, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Flagler College.
