Jesse Obas

Jesse Obas is a dedicated educator with extensive experience in teaching and counseling. Currently serving as a 5th Grade Teacher at Santa Rita Union School District since July 2021, Jesse previously worked as a substitute teacher at NMCUSD from September 2014 to July 2021. In addition, Jesse taught a Leadership Development course at the NMCUSD Migrant Education Summer Academy in 2013, focusing on leadership, social justice, public speaking, and college awareness. Jesse's counseling background includes a role as Lead College Facilitator at the University of California, where support was provided for career and college planning. Early experiences include serving as an At Risk Youth Counselor at Second Chance Family and Youth Services. Jesse holds multiple degrees and credentials from California State University, Monterey Bay, Arizona State University, and Hartnell College, highlighting a strong foundation in education and social services.
