Atang Matebesi

Atang Matebesi currently serves as the CEO of Santam Client Solutions at Santam Insurance, responsible for the strategic, operational, and P&L aspects of the Client Solutions cluster and is a member of the Santam Group Executive Committee. Previously, Atang held the position of Executive Head of Corporate Finance at Sanlam, focusing on strategic transactions across Africa, India, and South East Asia. Other roles include Private Equity Investment Principal at Actis, Co-founder and CEO of Kulima, and positions at Ethos Private Equity, Actis, and Rand Merchant Bank, demonstrating extensive experience in finance, private equity, and strategic advisory in various sectors. Atang holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, is a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa, and has a BSc (Honours) in Actuarial Science from the University of the Witwatersrand.
