Avp, Lead User Experience (ux) Designer at Santander Bank

Jason James has a diverse work experience starting from 2007 as a Computer Instructor at SkillSource Job Centers. Jason then worked as a Crew Leader, Driver, and Mover for Student Services Moving and Storage Company in 2010. From 2011 to 2013, they were a Sales Associate at AT4 wireless, coordinating with engineering teams and managing the salesforce.com platform. Jason then worked at EE Reed Construction, L.P. as an Assistant Project Manager and later as a Business Development Manager/Project Manager, where they managed projects, prepared proposals, and represented the company at industry events. In 2018, they joined THINKRITE as a User Experience Designer, collaborating with cross-functional teams and creating interactive prototypes. In 2019, they became a Product Designer & Manager at Cross.Team, responsible for building and managing design systems. From 2020 to 2021, they worked as an AVP, Customer Service Operations at Safrapay, where they served as a Conversation Designer, Product Owner, and Integration Project Manager. Currently, they are working at Santander Bank, N.A. as an AVP, Lead User Experience & Conversation Designer, leading conversation design, UX design, and UX writing for consumer and business banking in the US.

Jason James earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Virginia, which they attended from 2006 to 2011. Jason then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Sustainability at Eastern Mennonite University from 2015 to 2017. In 2017, they furthered their education by completing a User Experience (UI/UX) Design program at Ironhack.

In addition to their formal education, Jason has obtained several certifications. In July 2015, they received a certification in Social Entrepreneurship from Coursera. More recently, in January 2022, they obtained a Botsociety Certification in Conversation Design Course from Udemy. In the same year, they also obtained certifications in Continuous Product Design Foundations from Continuous Product Design Certified and Human-Centered Systems Thinking from IDEO U, in August and May respectively.
