Alfonso Cruz-Conde Basabe

Alfonso Cruz-Conde Basabe currently serves as Head of People & Culture in Wealth Management & Insurance at Banco Santander España, alongside being the Head of HR Hub for Madrid, Castilla la Mancha, and the Canary Islands since January 2024. Prior to this role, Alfonso managed HR for the Madrid Territorial in Banco Santander from June 2013 to January 2024, overseeing over 3,000 employees and leading a team of 12 HR Business Partners. Additionally, extensive experience includes leadership positions in various Spanish regions and responsibilities in international commerce at Banesto from 1997 to 2013. Alfonso possesses advanced educational qualifications, including a certification in executive coaching and an MBA from Universidad Pontificia Comillas, complemented by studies at IESE Business School and Leeds Beckett University.
