Sebastian Helstad Unger

Sebastian Helstad Unger has a diverse work experience that spans several companies and roles. Sebastian started their career at NSB as a Software Engineer, where they were responsible for developing a web-based task management system. Sebastian utilized technologies such as Oracle Database, Java, Hibernate, and ActionScript. After their summer job at NSB, Sebastian joined Affecto as a Data Warehouse Consultant. In this role, they worked on data warehousing projects. Sebastian then moved on to Santander Nordics, where they held various positions. Sebastian initially served as a Senior Business Analyst and ETL Architect before progressing to become the Head of Data & Information and later the Head of Data & Analytics. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Data Platform at Santander Nordics.

Sebastian Helstad Unger obtained an MSc degree in Computer Science from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 2005 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed their secondary education at Oppegård videregående skole from 2002 to 2005, focusing on general studies. Additionally, they hold a certification as an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS), which they obtained in December 2023.
