Goncalo Mendes

Goncalo Mendes currently serves as the Director of Collections at Santander Portugal, where responsibilities include leading digital collections for individuals and SMEs, optimizing restructuring workflows, enhancing the role of branches, and ensuring compliance with legal frameworks. Mendes has also directed the Digital Transformation Program for ONE Europe, focusing on the deployment of a common mobile app across European Santander countries, managing budgets, and coordinating implementation teams. Previous roles include Head of Recoveries and Collections Transformation Program, where strategies for collections and restructurings were developed, and the Head of Mortgage Growth, emphasizing offer and pricing strategies. Prior to Santander, Mendes held significant positions at Altice Portugal, Portugal Telecom, and co-founded Spin Energia. Educational qualifications include an Executive MBA from INDEG-ISCTE and a degree from Instituto Superior Técnico.
