Joaquim Filipe

Joaquim Filipe is a seasoned banking professional with extensive experience in commercial and retail banking, currently serving as a Senior Executive Director at Santander Portugal since June 2020, where Joaquim leads the transformation plan at the branch level and heads the Daily Banking and Insurance tribes. Prior roles include Head of Commercial Offer and Marketing at Banco Santander, where Joaquim spearheaded simplification strategies for banking products, and Vice-President for Commercial and Retail Banking at Banco Santander Totta, where Joaquim advised the board on retail banking and implemented strategic initiatives. Joaquim's career in banking spans over three decades, marked by leadership positions at various institutions, including the development of customer-oriented strategies and the management of significant branch networks. Academic qualifications include advanced programs from prestigious institutions such as Northwestern University and IESE Business School, alongside a Master’s Degree in Business from Universidad de Valladolid.
