Javier Castro

Javier Castro is a Scientific Project Manager at Santé publique France since August 2021, where responsibilities include coordinating public and private laboratories for the national genomic surveillance program of SARS-CoV-2 under the EMERGEN Consortium. Previously, Javier worked as Chargé de missions transversales at Agence régionale de santé Centre-Val de Loire, focusing on the optimization of detection strategies and vaccination against SARS-CoV-2. Javier holds a PhD in Life Sciences from the University of Geneva, along with a Master's degree in Genetics and a Licentiate degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Additional experience includes roles as a postdoctoral researcher, event staff for scientific activities, and internship positions in various prestigious institutions.
