Joanna Rijks is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in electrical, instrumentation, and control systems within the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as a Senior Staff E&I Operations Engineer at Santos Ltd since December 2023, Joanna previously held the position of Principal Instrument and Control Systems Engineer at Wood | INPEX Ichthys, focusing on design package delivery for the Phase 2B Project. Joanna's expertise includes hazardous area ignition prevention and regulatory compliance as a Senior Operations IEC Engineer at Vermilion Energy, along with a strong background in project delivery and engineering at Worley and Woodside Energy. Joanna holds a Master of Business Administration from The University of Western Australia and Aarhus BSS, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from The University of Western Australia.
