Sam Thompson is an experienced Project Manager currently leading the technical and economic assessment for a commercial export scale hydrogen facility at Santos Ltd since March 2020. Prior to this role, Sam Thompson served as a Project Engineer at ConocoPhillips from October 2010 to March 2020, where significant contributions included overseeing the successful installation and commissioning of three wells for the Bayu-Undan project, achieving first gas three months ahead of schedule and under budget. Furthermore, Sam Thompson held the position of Lead Instrumentation Engineer for the Bayu-Undan offshore facility and has held various roles related to instrumentation engineering. Sam Thompson holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Accounting and Finance, both from The University of Western Australia.
