Shane McCarthy

Shane McCarthy possesses extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as an Operator at Santos Ltd since May 2020. Prior to this role, Shane has held various positions at ConocoPhillips Company since May 2005, including Operations Specialist and Control Room Supervisor, with a focus on safely operating DLNG Plant Areas and coaching team members. Shane's earlier experience includes a role as Redside Production Supervisor at Rio Tinto Alcan, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing refinery operations and personnel development. Shane started in the industry with Schlumberger as a Derrickman and has a background in fire-fighting systems installation with Wormald. Shane's career commenced in the Royal Australian Navy as a Leading Seaman Marine Tech Hull, after completing technical training at HMAS Nirimba as a first-class welder and metal fabricator.
