Douglas Matsumoto

Douglas Matsumoto is an accomplished football coach with a dynamic career spanning several prestigious clubs. Currently serving as the head coach at São Paulo Futebol Clube since January 2023, Matsumoto previously coached Fluminense Football Club from February 2022 to January 2023 and held the position of assistant coach at São Paulo Futebol Clube from July 2021 to February 2022, where notable achievements include winning the Campeonato Paulista sub 17 and Campeonato Brasileiro sub 18. Prior coaching roles include tenures at Valadares de Gaia Futebol Clube and Associação Desportiva Centro Olímpico, where significant titles were secured, including multiple state and national championships, as well as international accolades. Matsumoto holds a Master's degree in Sports from Universidade do Porto and a Bachelor's degree in Sports Science from USP - Universidade de São Paulo.
