John W. Gannon, MBA, is an experienced architect and educator with a diverse background in construction and architectural design. Currently serving as a Blueprint Reading Instructor at Summit Academy OIC since September 2015, Gannon teaches skills essential for the Pre-Apprentice Construction Program. Previous roles include GreenPOWER Program Trainer at BlueGreen Alliance Foundation, Adjunct Evening School Instructor at Dunwoody College of Technology, and Architect positions at various firms such as ATS&R, Inc. and BWBR Architects. Gannon holds an MBA from Bethel University, complemented by a Post-Secondary Teaching Certificate and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. Gannon’s extensive experience spans over three decades in both practical and educational realms, focusing on empowering individuals in the construction trades and promoting green economic solutions.

Summit Academy Opportunities Industrialization Center (SAOIC) in Minneapolis, Minnesota is dedicated to helping individuals, particularly those from economically challenged backgrounds, to build successful careers.At Summit you can prepare for a career as a Nursing Assistant,Electrician, Welder, Plumber or Sheet Metal Worker, among other professions. Summit’s vocational training programs are also short-term, in many caseslasting only five months.Due to the fact that Summit trains students for in-demand careers and trains and supports them well, Summit’s job-placement rate is high. Job placement is not guaranteed, but Summit does its best to help its graduates to find work.Since Summit primarily educates students from financially challenged circumstances, students are encouraged to apply for financial aid, which is offered through loans and grants to eligible students.Those who are interested in applying to Summit Academy must attend an information session before submitting their application.
