Leonard O'Mahony

Leonard O'Mahony has held various roles in the pharmaceutical industry since 2004. Leonard began their career at Elan Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Formulation Scientist, and then moved on to the Helsinn Group in 2008 as a Product Development Manager. In 2016, they joined Mylan as a Director (Parenteral Formulation & Process Development), responsible for the formulation and process development of complex peptide injectables. In 2018, they joined Saol Therapeutics as a Senior Director of Drug Product Development and Director of Product Development.

Leonard O'Mahony has a diverse educational background. Leonard completed a BSc (hons) in Industrial Chemistry at the University of Limerick from 1996 to 2000. Leonard then went on to receive a Marie Curie Fellowship at the University of Warwick in 2001. Following this, they completed a Ph.D in Nucleation, growth and crystallisation at the University of Limerick from 2000 to 2004. Finally, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Trinity College Dublin from 2014 to 2016, with a focus on Business Administration, Management and Operations.
