Lopa Bhatt has worked in a variety of roles in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry since 1989. Lopa began their career as a Senior Laboratory Technician at Vrundavan Pathology Lab. In 1993, they moved to Alteon, Inc. as a Research Associate II, where they optimized and performed cell-based assays and radioisotope assays for the screening and characterization of glucose-lowering agents. In 2000, they joined Unilever as a Research Scientist, where they performed dermal delivery assays and designed a high throughput apparatus for measuring the delivery of actives through the skin, stratum corneum and other artificial membranes. In 2004, they were a Senior Researcher (Contract based) at Hoffmann-La Roche, Inc. and a Research Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology. From 2007 to 2019, they were a Senior Project Manager, Pharmaceutical Development at Celtaxsys, Inc., before becoming a Senior Development Program Manager at Saol Therapeutics in 2019.
Lopa Bhatt obtained a Master's Degree in Microbiology (Environmental Biotechnology) from Gujarat University between 1986 and 1988. Lopa also obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology from Gujarat University between 1983 and 1986. In 1989, Bhatt obtained a Medical Laboratory Technology certification from The Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute. In 2014, they obtained a Pharmaceutical Development Certified Professional (PDCP) certification from The Center for Professional Innovation & Education (CfPIE).
