Aravind Govindan

Aravind Govindan has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Aravind is currently serving as the Head of Innovation at SAP.iO, a position they have held since November 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Zinnov as part of the GCC Strategy & Implementation team from March 2021 to November 2021.

From 2018 to 2020, Aravind worked at Techstars as the Director of Innovation. In this role, they collaborated with senior leaders, customers, and external thought leaders to evaluate strategic market opportunities and provide insightful business recommendations. Aravind also oversaw strategic execution plans and negotiations, working with cross-functional teams to align with company goals.

Before Techstars, Aravind held the position of Strategy Manager at ANSR from August 2016 to March 2018. Here, they developed transformational offshore and shared services strategies for Fortune 500 companies and played a key role in global expansion initiatives, identifying growth opportunities and presenting business cases to senior leadership.

Earlier in their career, Aravind worked as an Industry Analyst at Frost & Sullivan from June 2012 to August 2016. Aravind delivered consulting projects on various aspects such as go-to-market strategies, new product strategies, opportunity assessment, geographic expansion, and M&A. Additionally, they developed market research reports and led a team in market research, planning, and operating procedures.

Aravind began their professional journey with an internship in Mergers and Acquisition at GE Power Conversion from December 2008 to March 2009.

Aravind Govindan completed their education with a Master's degree in International Business from the University of Sydney, from 2008 to 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's of Commerce degree from the University of Madras, from 2003 to 2006. Additionally, they acquired several certifications, including Crisis Communication from the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) and LinkedIn in May 2023, as well as Disrupting Yourself certification from LinkedIn in the same month and year.
